Last year NOSC awarded over $14,000 in grants to charities.
We are currently accepting written requests from nonprofit
organizations for financial aid for 2008. Requests
must detail your organizational mission and describe
specific programs/items to be funded by the grant.
The requested dollar amount and your organization’s
impact on the military community will be evaluated.
When considering your application for funds, please
be aware in order to fulfill our obligations as an
IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, we must be assured
that funds donated to your organization will be expended
by May 31, 2009. These funds must be spent on programs
or materials that support the general mission of NOSC
in service to the military community.
If selected as a charity recipient we require:
• Acknowledgement
of receipt of funds.
• Accounting of
expenditures.
Eligibility guidelines are as follow:
Organization must be military-oriented or assist service
members in some capacity.
Organization must specify how it provides for military
families, the dollar amount desired, and an explanation
of how the funds will be used.
Requests must be made in writing.
All complete requests must be postmarked by April
15, 2008 to be considered. For more information regarding
