Applicant must be a dependent of: an active duty Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard personnel; dependent of a retired or deceased Naval, Marine or Coast Guard military member; or a dependent of a reservist activated for a minimum of nine months.
Applicant or military sponsor must reside in the greater San Diego area at the time of application.
A dependant child applicant must be graduating from a San Diego area high school in the year of application.
An applicant must have applied to an accredited two or four-year institution for full-time undergradute study.
An applicant who accepts an appointment to one of the service academies is not eligible for a NOSC Scholarship.

If applicant is awarded scholarship they agree to have their name, hometown college/university and photo published.

Previous NOSC scholarship recipients may not reapply.
