As a NOSC member you’ll be invited to events throughout the year! Some of our events help raise money to give back to our community in the form of scholarships and grants. Events are usually hosted between August and May. It’s a great way to meet fellow spouses! If you’re a new member, let us know at your first event so we can introduce you.
Some of our annual signature events are the Welcome Social in September, Holiday Party in December, and Spring Fling in May. We also have a scholarships & charitable grants awards ceremony and reception each year, which all members are invited to attend.
We aim to have an all-club event every month, in addition to monthly interest group events. Some of the interest groups within NOSC are listed below, but we are always interested in adding more! If you would like to lead a different interest/social group, reach out to President@NOSCSanDiego.com.
Most NOSC events are open to guests. For some events, we ask guests for a small $10.00 donation to NOSC to cover costs. If guests choose to join NOSC, the donation will be applied toward their membership dues.

Established Interest Groups Within NOSC San Diego
Book Club: Join other NOSC spouses to discuss books and get to know one another in different venues throughout San Diego.
Bunco/Games Group: Join our Bunco/games group to play fun games, meet wonderful people, and eat delicious food. If you haven’t played Bunco yet, we’ll show you the ropes.
Coffee "Second Saturday Sips": Regardless of the location, these are open to all NOSC spouses. The coffees are hosted in and around San Diego.
Itty Bitty Stitching Committee: NOSC needlepointers have banded together to create a new club for all crafters! While the event will be tailored towards needle crafts like cross stitch, needlework, embroidery, needlepoint, etc., ALL crafting is welcome!
Little Sailors: Want a group where your kiddos can have fun and you get adult interaction? This group is for you. Join other NOSC members and their young children for meet-ups throughout San Diego County.
Outdoor Adventures Group: Have a passion for the outdoors? Gather with other NOSC members to explore San Diego, whether it be on the water, hiking, golfing, or walking.
Groups for Specific Stages of Military Spouse Life
CO/XO Spouses: As a CO/XO Spouse you are provided with unique opportunities and challenges, this group allows you to meet with other spouses that are going through similar situations and fellowship over good food.
JO Spouses: Navigating the Navy can be a little overwhelming. Going through the first deployment, a little challenging. Connect with other JO Spouses, and learn how to make sure you get the most out of your Navy life. Junior officers are considered O4 and below for the purpose of this group.
