On your mark, get set, HIKE!!!! This month Out & About is getting down and dirty! Mission Trails Regional Park is located just east of Qualcomm Stadium in an area I like to call "wilderness in our backyard"! They have a wonderful visitor and interpretive center, campground near Santee, and trails suited for all skill levels.

We will be meeting on Tuesday, March 12th at the Visitor Center. Directions are: I-15 exit Friars Road. Go east on Friars unti it curves to the left and becomes Mission Gorge Road. Continue pas Jackson Drive and then on your left you will see the entrance to Mission Trails Regional Park, Visitor Center. There is a parking lot on your left. We will meet inside the center at 9:30. From there we will carpool about 2 miles to Cowles Mountain.

Please bring at least 2 bottles of water and a snack for the hike. If you'd like to bring a sack lunch, I will have a cooler in my car. It might be fun to have a picnic afterwards! Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, shoes and sunscreen! This isn't a beauty contest!! (but I will have my camera... :) )

Hope to see you all there! If the weather is horrific, we'll make alternate plans...
