February’s Out & About is going to stimulate your mind rather than your body this month…. In the past we’ve done yoga, aerobics, kayaking and paddle boarding, but now we’re going to exercise our brains.
Many of you have been to Balboa Park, BUT, have you ever been to the Spanish Village Art Center? It is San Diego County’s largest community of artists. These consist of painters, sculptors, metalsmiths, jewelry designers, clay and gourd artists, photographers and more!
There are demonstrations, galleries, and the chance to meet many of the artists themselves. Once you visit, you’ll want to come back to purchase unique birthday or Christmas gifts! Their website iswww.spanishvillageart.com .
After strolling through the shops, we can stop off and get some lunch. Many of you have heard of The Prado (www.cohnrestaurants.com/theprado ) or we can try The Sculpture Court Café (www.sdmart.org/visit/sculpture-court-cafe )
This should be a nice relaxing day with new and old friends!!
